Bunny Ears

We took Rose 'trick or treating' at Boo at the Zoo. The Louisville Zoo sets up a fun after-hours trick or treat route with different themes (storybook, Harry Potter, Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and the kids walk through and get treats. Rose didn't really get what was going on, but did enjoy some M&Ms. Mostly she asked where the animals where (off display!). She seemed to understand that they were 'nigh-nigh' pretty well, but I think next year Boo at the Zoo will probably have more of a fun quotient. : )

Brownies!

We made up some brownies, and when I went to put the pan in the oven Rose commandeered the spoon. She kept frantically licking her fingers even as I led her to the bathroom to wash up.

Rose Cooks!

Rose loves helping her mama cook. And I love to have my little first mate along, although sometimes it can get difficult. See: two pans on the stove and a 28 lbs. toddler asking me to 'caw-wy? caw-wy?' (carry) her so she can see the action.

Sometimes we just mix up the goods out on the kitchen table. Here is Rose helping with her favorite "cake-cakes!" She even got to help me flip them. : )

The Civil Wars

It's what we've been listening to.

Bobby and I both love them, which is cool. The lyrics are thoughtful and the music is very good and the singing is superb. Enjoy!

(The video format is a cut, so if you want to view it full-screen you should click through).

Haha.

Omi and Opi came to visit a few weeks ago, and took the fun pic of me and Rose, and the one of Rose making her "funny face." She's a ham. : )
