I love baseball, and I love cheering on my adopted team, the Nationals - though they're the worst team in MLB. Games are still fun, though! Bobby and I went to a game yesterday. Nats lost to the Pirates, but we went with staff families from the church and 9Marks, so friends, baseball, and 'Five Guys' burgers made for a great night.

The woeful Nats used the #1 pick in the MLB draft to pick Stephen Strasburg, one of the best pitching prospects in years. He went 13-1 at SDSU with a 1.32 ERA and a fastball clocked at 102 mph.
Why don't you stay true to the Giants or Angels, or whoever it is that you liked before? You don't have to be a fan of DC sports just because you live there. At least, I wouldn't :)
