I haven't blogged much in the last few weeks. So, a couple updates!
Baby: She's doing well and growing a lot! I just entered into my THIRD TRIMESTER (home-stretch). I had my 28 week appointment on Wednesday. My belly is the right size (the arch of my belly in centimeters is the same as the weeks...we have a masterful creator!), and she kicked at the midwife when the MW probed my belly to see how she was doing. I know I have so much more to grow but it seems sort of crazy that our girl is going to get bigger. She's pretty masterful at sticking either her head or her butt into my rib cage - ow! I just poke her a bit to get her to shift around. : ). The other night I could feel her kicking, and had Bobby feel - it was either an arm or a leg, and when he pressed down, she kicked/punched like four times in quick succession. Many friends have told us that you can get a feel for how your baby's temperament might be by how they are in the womb (super active and spunky, mellow, etc). I think she may be in the "super active" category....!
Also: My MW told me I need to drink a GALLON of water a day. Have you ever tried to drink a gallon of water a day?! I think my nausea is coming back. My compressed stomach is having a hard time managing such a huge amount. I know it's important, but it's hard!
Travel: We got to go to Northern California a few weeks ago to visit Bobby's family. We had such a nice time visiting them and seeing family friends. It was a mellow and fun weekend. I'm sad we can't see them (or my family) for the holidays, but excited for when Baby is out of the womb and we can all hang out together - January is closer than it seems!
Work - Bobby lead up a mini 9Marks conference at a small, struggling church in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He drove out with the other speakers a total of four times to teach the church about the 9Marks and lay out what a healthy church looks like. They have a faithful, hard-working shepherd and it was a great encouragement to them to have 9M staff come, and a great learning/teaching opportunity for Bobby.
Future: It's all a big countdown to the girl.
