Today Bobby turns 24! Yay! We're planning a fun day - a lunchtime walk around the pretty resevoir near our house, lunch from Chik Fil A, dinner at home, and perhaps a Foyle's War episode. (If you have not seen Foyle's War, I highly recommend it! Maybe one of my favorite shows ever).
Dinner, if all goes as planned, will be the following:
Parmesan Pop-Overs
Spinach Salad with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese (yay, Whole Foods!), Cranberries, and Spiced Pecans (from my TJ's stash I brought with me).
Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes
Braised Short Ribs
and for dessert...
Chocolate Lava Cakes with Raspberry Sauce.
I'm excited to cook and eat dinner. If all goes well, I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Happy Birthday, Bobby! Did you get our corny phone message? Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday feast (especially the chocolate lava dessert).
I'm glad the three of you are enjoying exploring your new surroundings. Hopefully I'll get a chance to come visit soon.
