We're Here!

We had a safe (albeit really, really long) drive. We drove out on Constitution - saying good-bye to the Smithsonians, the monuments, the White House, the Kennedy Center, and the Potomac on our way out.

First impressions?

Our new place opens onto parking spaces, not the little park, in our complex. At first, I was kinda bummed - but then Bobby pointed out I can carry groceries directly into the house with no trek. Awesome.

Stores have parking lots. The post office has parking lots!

Whole Foods is three miles away.

We live in a 'trendy' neighborhood (St. Matthews). It seems pretty cool; we're excited to explore.

Consignment stores everywhere!! Excited to go try and get some stuff for Rose tomorrow. Also going to Goodwill to try and get some new stuff for the house.
